Andrew is an international China Specialist with over 40 years experience in a variety of senior positions involving Mainland China and Hong Kong. He has founded an international China business consultancy based in London.

Andrew is a Vice Chairman of the 48 Group Club. He sits on the Governing Council of King's College London and the Advisory Board of the China Policy Institute at Nottingham University. He chairs the China Interest Group of the UK’s Institute of Directors City Branch. He leads a China Group on the Executive Committee of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) London Region. He is elected as a Member of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs. He is a Distinguished Contributor on China with the Asymmetric Threats Contingency Alliance (ATCA), an influential global think-tank. He is on the Brain Trust of The Evian Group, a think-tank founded at the IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a Visiting Professor of London Metropolitan Univesity Business School and China's Sun Yat-sen University Business School. He was Visiting Professor at Lingnan University (2005-6) and at the Graduate Schools of Management at NIMBAS University, the Netherlands (2006).

Andrew is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He has been included in the Who’s Who in UK, Hong Kong and India. He was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) in the 2005 Hong Kong’s Honours List.

Andrew has qualifications from University of London, Cambridge University, Law Society (Qualifying Examinations), and Harvard Business School. He speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. He writes Chinese calligraphy and paints classical Chinese paintings. His other hobbies include tennis, swimming, jogging, traveling, singing, and reading.
