Cheong Ming Lam 林昌明 GCGI FRAS

Aviation Security Advisor

Cheong Ming Lam, GCGI, FRAS, is a Security Specialist in the aviation industry. He gives advice to Airport Operators and related business, as well as members of the general public. He also has a wide range of knowledge in Airport Operations. He has since worked & given advice to most of the Major Airports in the UK and to ensure Aviation Security Standards are met. He has been a huge contributor in projects to help tighten and improve Aviation Security at UK airports.

He is listed on the Marquis's Who Who's of the World in the 2012 Publication Edition. He has received the Professional Recognition City & Guild's Award in Management. He has received a Honorary Cooperating Professorship from the Carlos Albizu University in the US. He has a great interest in world history as well as natural history, an elected Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society (FRAS). He is a Patron of the Royal Academy of Music, a Member of the British Association for the Advancement of Science and a Supporter of the London Chinese Community Centre.

A School Governor of Abacus Primary School & a Member of the Personnel Committee Panel 2012-2014

He is a Member of the National Governor's Association and Member of the Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital Foundation Trust.

His interest in politics has led to him joining the Conservative Party as a Party Member, a Member of the Rayleigh & Wickford Conservative Community Association in his local community and a Conservative Associate plus Member of the Councillor's Association

He has always been interested in the rich history of London and in 2009 he became Freeman of the City of London. He is also a Former Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Basketmakers & Juror of the Court Leet of the Guidable Manor of Southwark.

He has been involved with Eye Hospital in Jerusalem under the Venerable Order of St John of Jerusalem,British Red Cross, Marie Currie and the NSPCC Organisation.

He is also a Companion of the Order of Malta.

He has received recognition for the voluntary work and contribution to local charities and Communities from Charitable Organisations and Associations. He has also received global recognition from the US which includes the Honorary Texan Award, Commissioned Honorary Texas Admiral, Commissioned Kentucky Colonel for his charitable services and Commissioned Honorary Alabama Colonel.

He was awarded the Platinum Award of the U.S. President's Challenge which is the Highest Award of the President's Council on Fitness, Sport and Nutrition. This was awarded due to contribution & promoting Heath & Fitness.

He speaks fluent Cantonese.
