Irene has been working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. She is British Chinese and grew up in the suburbs of London. She started modelling in her teens before going to drama school to train as an actress.
She graduated from Drama Studio London (NCDT) in 1993 and since then has worked internationally in film, television, theatre, radio, commercials, and as a presenter. Notably she was Lead Supporting actress to Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor in feature films "Nightwatch" and "Rogue Trader" respectively. Irene is also host and anchor for Oracle WebTV.

Earlier that year UCS had performed in front of Her Majesty the Queen on 3 occasions, including at Buckingham Palace.
Irene's creative flair extends to working with children, teenagers and adults both in a professional and non-professional capacity. She runs drama workshops, presentation skills, and voice and speech delivery. She has experience in directing and recently completed a Introduction to Theatre Producing course at the Young Vic Theatre. Irene informally mentors young and upcoming actors, especially from East Asian backgrounds, first speaking to a group of American Chinese high school students in Los Angeles in 1995. She is passionate about encouraging and nurturing the next generation to explore their creative talents thus raising up and establishing more East Asian role models in the UK and beyond.
Irene volunteers at the local branch of international charity Besom, which helps the poor. She is also a prison volunteer on the course Sycamore Tree, which goes into prisons and addresses the issues of restorative justice and victim awareness to inmates.
