Jessica is a London based British actress, who began taking acting, dancing, and singing lessons at the age of 12. Since then, she has expanded her CV to include both theatre and television work.
Her first professional role came in early 2009, when Jessica auditioned for the BBC series 'Spirit Warriors', and after an extensive auditioning process, she was cast as the female lead role; Bo. 'Spirit Warriors' wrapped in July, and is due to air in early January 2010, on BBC One, BBC HD, and CBBC.
As preparation for the role, Jessica took one-to-one wushu lessons with professional actor and stuntman Jude Poyer. Combined with her dance background and stage and screen combat qualification, Jessica was able to perform her own stunts during filming.
Since completing 'Spirit Warriors', Jessica has taken part in a short film co-starring Dexter Fletcher, due to be screened at the BFI Future Film Festival, and in late August she was part of an experiment filmed at the three Mills Studio in London, as preparation for the 2012 Olympics' opening and closing ceremony. She is also a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, whose previous members include Daniel Day-Lewis, Dame Helen Mirren, and Orlando Bloom.
