Philomena Chen
International Business Woman
Philomena Chen is the head of Asia Pacific Development for ChamberLink’s International Trade Centre, and is responsible for promoting and engaging British business in international trade with Asia and Pacific countries including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. In this post, she takes the lead in coordinating the Asia Pacific activities for the North West of England.
Born in Malaysia, Philomena has run her own business and also worked in commercial organisations in the Far East and UK. Since 1990, she has joined the Training & Enterprise Council, Business Links and Chambers of Commerce in the North West of England in providing integrated business and international trade services.
Philomena is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Teochew and Malay. She has an MBA, a Postgraduate degree in Human Resources and is a Graduate member of the Hotel and Catering International Management Association.
Philomena was a Finalist of The Pearl Award for International Business Link in 2005.
