Stephen Shing
Councillor
Stephen Shing is a Councillor at Parish, District and County Council levels. His work on behalf of residents has included the protection of local bus services, maintenance of public areas, the retention of crucial health care services, the provision of crime prevention services and the provision of facilities for the young. He is also a supporter of many local groups.
He has been involved in fundraising for the Asian Tsunami Appeal and is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Team looking at Ethnic Minority Groups across the UK. He also campaigns for Party Political broadcasts on ethnic minority television and radio channels to encourage greater political inclusiveness.
Stephen Shing was a Finalist for the The 48 Group Club Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement at The Pearl Awards in 2005.
He is based in East Sussex.
