WaiLo Li 李慧璐 is a global comms professional by day and Founder of Project TOM 仁愛星 (voluntary non-profit group) in her spare time.

Having worked on some of the most famous brands in the world, both in HK and the UK - she is actually most passionate about doing good and helping others.

HK-born, WaiLo graduated in BA Law & Criminology from The University of Sheffield, followed by a Masters in Mass Communications from The University of Leicester. Since then she has been in Luxury and CSR PR.

WaiLo established Project TOM in 2008, with the aim to encourage more young people into charity work - they now have over 60 volunteers, comprised of local BBC youngsters aged between 17-30 years old.

Recently, Project TOM celebrated their 5th anniversary - over 16 events and having sent 1037 OCC shoeboxes to the Third World, they have raised £32.4k for charitable causes both at home and abroad.

She said; "Project TOM was actually established five years ago this month, when co-ordinating an impromptu fundraiser event for the then deadly Sichuan Earthquake of 2008. Now sixteen events on, we've come full circle - we're so proud of all our volunteers. Kindness is a very big thing."

WaiLo lives and works in Birmingham, West Midlands.
